I am new on #!, but have used linux, mostly ubuntu and mint, for several years. But I don't like not Unity nor Gnome 2 and 3. Specially on my netbook. For a long time I have searched for another dist. Perhaps I have found it.
First I tested Statler on my netbook. Very nice, but with a BIG problem: The wireless stopped after a while. No chance to get it to run again. Perhaps something with a kernel update, but I didn't had energy to find a workaround. Couldn't find any help by googling.
But I was very impressed of Crunchbang, so I tried Waldorf (with very low expectations). But YES, YES, YES! The wireless was there, no problems to connect my wireless printer (Ubuntu 12.04 can't find it), no problems to install latest Libreoffice and so on.
Now I have #! Waldorf on both a my netbook and my laptop. Good dist!
