TCL /TK: why not?

Hey,
I am just think: why TCL is almost forgotten as a programming language?
I went through couple of threads here.. TCL was mentioned only once.
And thats the exact picture which I see elsewhere.

I think TCL is quite handy..: event driven, has *nix roots in the past, TK (GTK as a option), all major DB support...
TCL started to shine before python had appeared on the scene.. but suddenly went down.
And you can find only CISCO as a major user of the TCL now ( and may be AOL still )

... handmade is always better! .. the hand of help is always welcome! ... the hand of support is always strong!

Well, one thing for sure: The mentioning density is seven times higher now.

I'm so meta, even this acronym

Re: TCL /TK: why not?

Because people who use TCL can only communicate in a series of clicks and whistles.
