Greetings
Although I using Linux for a little over three years on my two main laptops, I never used anything other than ubuntu, so I do not know if I can consider myself an experienced user. Certainly not.
So, at the end of last year, I decided to resurrect an old 2003 Toshiba laptop which was thrown in a corner collecting dust. However, on a machine with only 256 of ram and a 1.80GHz Celeron processor, ubuntu is not feasible. So after a quick google search, I found the CrunchBang.
Everything is working! Even LiberOffice suite (which I thought would be impossible to run on that machine, or at least would be very slow) is working so incredibly smooth! At first I thought it would be too difficult to adapt my self to Crunchbang, but honestly, now I'm thinking that Ubuntu is too loaded with uselessness (to me) and even the look of gnome no longer pleases me after I learned how to find my way in openbox.
So I am really enjoying. The only "modification" that I use is that I use QtWeb web browser, instead of iceweasel, which on this machine freeze over everything and I have to restart by brute force (direct pressing the power button).
