E17 is an interest of mine and I found a guide that will help, let me break it down for you to get it running in crunchbang.
Let's do this!
First you need to make sure you have all the dependencies.
I used the regular stable install minus the backports. So you have to add those in.
sudo apt-get install -t squeeze-backports libgtk2.0-dev
sudo apt-get install -t squeeze-backports libsqlite3-devAlso install libxcb-shape0 and libxcb-shape0-dev via synaptic or with
sudo apt-get install libxcb-shape0
sudo apt-get install libxcb-shape0-devNow you have the dependecies, typing this in will make the process a lot easier.
wget http://omicron.homeip.net/projects/easy_e17/easy_e17.shnow that that is installed go to Enlightenment's download page and get these tar.gz files
Eina
Eet
Evas
Ecore
Embryo
Edje
Efreet
E_Dbus
Eeze
And now in your terminal run this command
sudo easy_e17.sh --installNow all you have to do is logout and choose Enlightenment and log in and follow the wizard.

I used this other guide from a ubuntu fourms post as a template http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php? … ht=E17+cvs

Looks very good Herpy.!
You didn't waste anytime with the how-to
You might want to move this fine piece of work to our WM/DE threads
Found Here
Peachy's v9000 / Conky PitStop / My DA Page / VSIDO
Make it so....

You can include this link into how-to, it has deb package which works on statler=squeeze+backports
edit: I tried it now, basically this is enough:
