Greetings #!ers

Way back when, I tried the 9.04 version of #! and kind of liked it, but didn't stick with it. Now with the advent of Unity and other undesirable changes taking place with the popular distro, I have been thrashing about trying to find a new home and ended up here again after seeing a news item about #! now being under-girded by Debian Squeeze. Installation of #! 10 on my Asus EeePC 8G was a reassuring experience, especially the whole disk encryption. I couldn't get it to go on a FitPC v1.0 box and had to resort to the Openbox version of PCLOS in that case. Overall, #! is looking good on my EeePC. Once I get used to it, I plan to install it on my main laptop.

Welcome back! smile

I've always found it ironic that back in the 9.04 days, I learned about #! from the Ububut-UK-podcast, and thought that the switch from Ubuntu to Debian was a bad idea. Now, years later, with Unity and Wayland, and all, I wonder what the hell I was thinking....
