Re: [solved] problem since installing nautilus

Nautilus has taken over your desktop. Run these two commands in a terminal, reboot, and you should be good to go...

gconftool-2 -s -t bool /apps/nautilus/preferences/show_desktop false &
gconftool-2 -s -t bool /desktop/gnome/background/draw_background false &

Re: [solved] problem since installing nautilus

Nautilus is very Gnome dependent. It tends to be problematic on anything but a Gnome DE. If you don't want to run Gnome I'd suggest you stay away from Nautilus.

Perhaps if you explained your "personal reasons" we could help you adjust to another more WM friendly file manager.

Re: [solved] problem since installing nautilus

there are several reasons why i use nautilus,

beside, i already solved the problem.

I had to use the commands of nnh, and just had to leave out the '&' at the end.

I'll mark the thread as solved.
