Can anyone suggest a good blogging app for Crunchbang? Need to use it for Wordpress.

I don't know.
I'm interested in hearing too.
I was gonna update by email, but WP doesn't support GMail, since it requires POP3 to be via SSL.

There's GNOME Blog - but last time I checked (~6 months ago) it was fairly limited (e.g. didn't support categories, tags, or editing existing posts), and would probably require a whole lot of GNOME libraries.

I wish I could get an app like WordPy (Nokia Tablet) for Linux. The closest I've come is ScribeFire:

Drivel may ( or may not ) be useful to you. From aptitude show drivel :
Drivel is a GNOME client for working with online journals, also known as
weblogs or blogs. It retains an elegant design while supporting LiveJournal,
Blogger, MovableType, Advogato, and Atom journals, as well as derivatives such
as WordPress and Drupal.

What you should enter for your WordPress server, using Drivel
The exact URL depends on where your WordPress server is hosted, but it is usually something along the lines of http://www.yourwebsite.com/path/to/word … mlrpc.php. If your website was www.gnome.org and you installed wordpress to /public/wp, then your server line should read http://www.gnome.org/public/wp/xmlrpc.php.
I also mentioned this issue on my blog.

Charm!

Python based, small and flexible. It runs from the terminal (launches an editor of your choice for editing content), so it fits in with the Crunchbang decor. It's also a breeze to set up.

Charm seems great - CLI-based no less!
Thanks karthik!
