Re: (Solved) How to start nm-applet?

Do you have network-manager installed? nm-applet is packaged as part of network-manager in the Debian repositories. Make sure you get the frontend network-manager-gnome as well, if aptitude doesn't drag it in automatically.

Try running

$ sudo synaptic

from a terminal and see what happens.

Go to the terminal and type in

aptitude search network-manager

If there's an "i" next to network-manager, the package is installed, and I don't know how to help you. If there's a "p" next to the entry, it isn't installed, so go ahead now and install it. That should solve your problem.

Re: (Solved) How to start nm-applet?

Mission accomplished. Got synaptic then got network-manager-gnome. Apparently I deleted the whole thing when I was getting rid of bluetooth package hmm
