Ultrasurf in Crunchbang

Can somebody help me use Ultrasurf in Crunchbang or could Crunchbang make a support for Ultrasurf? Forgive me about this because I have configured Ultrasurf, the little green program by the Ultrareach Corporation, I have just put a proxy in it to run it and a domain name server in the dashboard of my usb modem, I am using it in the Philippines and I am happy for using it because it gives me a FREE INTERNET, you can't go to all websites though. I'll be waiting for any reactions.Regards.Thanks.:)

Re: Ultrasurf in Crunchbang

This is interesting.
Anyway, have you try to use Wine to run Windows apps?
Well, i'm using usb modem too, but i'm still curious about this FREE INTERNET stuff. What is the definition of free in this case anyway? big_smile
Back on topic, try to use Wine, it might be help, but i don't know if it's going to work or not, but it worth to try.

Re: Ultrasurf in Crunchbang

Hi. I also tried running this app with wine but it has alot of dll problems w/c need to be solved to be able to work. I'll wait if this could be fixed but for now I think you'll have to sort some dll dependency problems.

Re: Ultrasurf in Crunchbang

If the problem is with dll dependencies, then perhaps this issue is best dealt with upstream?  To the best of my knowledge, Corenominal is not involved in Wine development.

Re: Ultrasurf in Crunchbang

Looks like it works under wine, you just need a couple of . dll's mfc42.dll & msvcp60.dll.

And here is a project that lets you run Ultrasurf as a daemon, Ghostship.

Re: Ultrasurf in Crunchbang

The key is you have to put a couple of dll's in wine, mfc42.dll and msvcp60.dll. Put it in the folder SYSTEM and SYSTEM32.
dll.com provides the dll's.
