How to change the hostname/nodename in conky

Hello. How do I go about changing the hostname of my computer. This to change the "nodename" in my conky.conf. Thanks in advance.

And check /etc/hosts after you reboot to make sure the change propagated there.  It's supposed to, and it does in most cases, but I've had it fail.

Re: How to change the hostname/nodename in conky

I've tried 'sudo nano /etc/hostname', 'sudo nano /etc/hosts', & 'sudo nano /etc/host', but it makes no difference, other than getting an 'unable to resolve host message' in terminal.

[EDIT] I repeated the procedure in Gedit, & it's worked: nice one.

If your favourite book were translated into code, what kind of operating system would be the result?
