Xmonad: System tray on its own Workspace?

I've been toying with Xmonad these past few days and I've managed to set it up how I like (for the most part.)  I was just wondering...

Is it possible to run a system tray app like "trayer" or the "stalonetray"  on it's own workspace .ie. Workspace 9 would be the only workspace displaying the system tray.
(I would have my conky setup running on the remaining space.)

I may be showing my complete ignorance of how these programs work, and if so, I apologize. Thanks in advance.

Re: Xmonad: System tray on its own Workspace?

I guess you could set up a ManageHook of some sort which would automatically move it to a workspace??  I'm not sure - I've never tried...

Re: Xmonad: System tray on its own Workspace?

In conky you can typ: ${desktop_name} to display the active desktop.
I don't know, but maybe you can write an "if -command" that "if, destop = 9, then conky-fil-x, else conky-fil-y"

This is a long-shoot... but it's an idé.

good luck!
