Hullo!

Greetings from the UK,

Ive been a long time fan of #! and Im finally in a position where I can run my own install on the kind of machine I want it for (HP mini 311). Been running it for about a week now (Statler) and having a good time setting it up / customizing. Forums and Wiki have been a big help so many thanks to those who have contributed to them.

Been a long time Windoze power user and been itching to try out linux for a long time. This is my first proper linux install and Im getting on well so far with my goal of running linux 100% of the time.

Im a big fan of this distro, it offers me the level of customization that I want but retains the minimalism that I crave.

So Hello!

Welcome to both stubert and r1zbear. smile

Glad you made it to the party.

r1zbear, if you poke around a bit, you'll find that a lot of us, maybe the majority of us, are running #! on netbooks like yours, all for the same reasons.
