How about CrunchBang as a base to a Linux Router?

Hello Everyone,
Ive been playing with #! for a few days now and its time for me to choose an OS for a box im converting to a router and irssi host,

Has anyone tried to set it up as a router?

With dhcpd/IPtables/hostAP?

Input/opinions and suggestions please.

I am sure it could be achieved, but if your box is going to be a dedicated router, I think I would take a look at some of the distributions listed here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ro … tributions
