CrunchBang Linux

hello everyone
The problem i have is my mixer keeps wanting to use the HDMI audio mixer on Ati Radeo Hd 5350 video instead of my onboard intel sound card.
can someone please help me to fix this issue??
the issue doesnt happen all the time but it does happen fairly often
