Howdy!

Yes, here is a quick recall of the boot log!

(thanks for the ESC tip! wink

A few files were kept from being "touched' due to being read-only -- some /home stuff followed by numbers I believe.

Then, the last two lines mentionned a /var/usr/*****.pid file failing to enter service, and that is where it ends.

Pretty strange. Any clue? ^^

I've been using Crunchbang for a few days -- and quite enticed I am. Great work on this project, devteam!

I've never been a huge Linux fan before, but this distro has a minimalistic magic that does wonder.

(Pssst. I've even set my Windows boot to mimic the style and simplicity of this wonderful box. xD!)

W00!

Anyway, kind compliments aside -- although I have never uncleanly dismounted my #! system, it seems to have started failing booting in any way except the recovery mode, getting stuck at the flashing #! prelogin (with no text, at that).

It's quite irritiating being locked out of the *nixeness!

Anyone have any quick guesses?

Here's what : haven't changed any major configuration or boot options, or installed any major programs (far as I can remember.), or made any other major changes.

I clearly do not remember doing anything that should make the proper boot process failing.

Except having been toying around Windows for the last couple of days since the last working boot, that is.

wink!

Hopefully she don't mind! wink!
