CrunchBang Linux

Not sure whether my quirk applies here but hopefully.  After sudo apt-get update and apt-get dist-upgrade (from alpha2, xfce) my '@' key and " (quote) keys were reversed.  Post install on laptop, I chose 'Don't touch Keyboard layout.'  Then, on the Boss Lady's machine I selected choose from architecture and hit querty.  The results were same in both instances.  Above mentioned keys switched.  Any ideas?  Everything else seems fine.
