Im reasonably sure you can't use a splitter (same signal x2) to have two seperate desktops. You'd need two VGA ports (2 seperate signals) on your graphics card for that
I couldn't see how it'd work but as it stands, Windows XP is picking up to monitors.
^ Well, Penguin said "Windows worked fine", and as disturbing as that phrase sounds on a fundamental level, I took it at face value.
It is a rather disturbing thought, but remember that XP is a decent system.
I haven't got much time to delve into this, however I'm thinking that maybe an extra large desktop would suffice... eh I'll look into it when I'm not pressured to get my project done.
Edit: Btw this page is number one for http://www.google.com.au/search?sourcei … +and+linux for me at least
Decided today was "bring your Crunchbang to work" day, however because I'm the only one in the office who uses it, I'm kinda lonered ROFL.
Anyway, so I work with dual screens because I'm cool like that. I'm running off the onboard graphics, so no nvidia etc. There's a Y-Splitter which has my two displays attached.
Windows worked fine, but crunchbang is considering them the same display and mirroring it.
Sooo... how do I tell Crunchbang that they're two different screens?
Edit: After a little research I deem it required to note that I am running a Dell box
