I have been attempting to run any linux for about a year and a half. Unfortunately, I have only had my ancient IBM server that doesn't do much but heat the house and a netbook sized laptop (almost three years old) that needs to stay XP based so my wife won't flip.
Well, tonight I downloaded this fantastic little guy and am running it from an 8GB Thumbdrive in a [thus far] unsuccessful attempt to recover pictures from his XP install. (Virus, blah blah can't login, but windows exists)
Problem - the info is on a RAID 0 config that is unrecognized by backtrack3, ubuntu, and #! (although the latter has run the best so far)
Are there any hints as to unlocking this mystery for me? I just need to grab some documents from windows, but I can't see the drive.
Thx in Advance
