Hello knobdy, again
Can I ask, how have you set-up your USB install? Have you followed a particular guide?
I actually did follow a guide to use a USB setup it can be found here: http://lifehacker.com/5140086/crunchban … ux-desktop
I also tried one from linuxpendrive as well, hope this helps and thanks!
Hello knobdy
Regarding your LiveCD autostart issues, please see: http://crunchbanglinux.org/forums/post/6742/#p6742
Hope this helps!
I took a look at that post and did the fix you suggested to the other user and still nothing. I then tried opening up ¬./config/openbox/autostart.sh and it didn't actually exist so I cut and past from the other file and saved it and still nothing.
When I boot up should I be selecting default or liveCD or the other option with a weird name?
Thanks so much guys for your help. This has to be the most helpful forum I've ever been a member of.
Hey knobdy,
Did you try what was mentioned in the last post in that thread? It was a different fix that might work for you that involves editing /etc/X11/xorg.conf. Try it out and sorry if you did already try that.
I have tried that method, but since every time I reboot nothing ever carries over it doesn't do any good. I look at some other articles in the Help & Support Forum and tried this fix too http://crunchbanglinux.org/forums/topic … and-time/, however like I said before nothing presists from one start to the next. Is there a certain item on the menu I should choose when booting up?
Is there a specific folder/file on the top-most layer I could edit?
First off my max Screen Resolution is 800x600 and when I try to put the fix from this post http://crunchbanglinux.org/forums/topic … esolution/ and restart #! it never saves any of the changes I make to the Openbox Config. Now I'm running it as a "LiveCD" off my USB key. Is there some way to save the changes to the USB drive that I'm not aware of or will it never let me save it since it's "LiveCD"?
Other then these two issues I love this distro keep up the great work guys!
