which eee pc do you have?
Oh knew I'd miss something. >.<
eee 701 4g
My saga begins a few days ago, in default eee Xandros.
I decided to remove the unionfs to free up some space, failed, and had to restore my Xandros. Noting I'd zapped all my data I thought that there was finally nothing holding me back from changing my operating system to something usable now...
Little did I know what I'd go through since then.
(My wireless worked fine, btw)
I went for a small option of Breeezy, sadly the supposed OOTB wireless support was a myth for me. Also it was far too ugly XD
Next up, eeeUbuntu. Feeling like it was sure to work, being that big and well known, I installed it. Bad move, again the OOTB wireless didn't work for me...
I figured they must all have the problem, so I decided I'd follow the tutorials to do it myself... Madwifi was a fail, still nothing. Ndiswrapper + XP drivers lacked any effect.
After this horrid config failure, I decided to try yet another, eeeDora, again failed, again both drivers failed.
After a few hours or deep thought, frustration and almost tears I decided one more, if it doesn't work I'm going to explode and pray for some pro to help me.
Cruncheee here I am.
Wired worked fine, wifi shows no networks.
Attempted entering all the details and hoping it'd work, nope. Tried changing wifi manager to Wicd as soemone suggested, still nope.
At my wits end.
Blue light is on, wifi is enabled in bios.
Quite certain my card works fine.
Hellllppp :'(
Or just hugs... But help is nice too.
