I'm new on the forums and decided to post here as most of my googling about conky bought me to these forums. I'm actually a Debian Sid user but I don't think you'll hold that against me
.
Anyway here is my conky so far. I will probably leave space at the end for my OSD for audio volume, tracks etc which currently appears down the bottom right.
the conky config is pretty scary and will not work unless you have the exact same fonts as me and screen resolution. I have xrandr configured in such a way that when my laptop is docked and using my external screen that conky stays on the laptop screen up the top.
tint2 is custom also.

Jelloir,
Just came across your post and fallen in love with your wallpaper. Could you please share how I might be able to obtain a copy?....thx
As an FYI I recently as suggestion replaced eee-control with the elmurato acpi scripts and am quite happy with the result.
Thanks for getting back to me Nik. By doing some research it appears that when the eee-control-tray code is loaded the reason for the "Cannot access I2C control files" error is that the 1000h BIOS for some reason 'hides' the I2C controller.
See this thread on the eeepcuser forum http://forum.eeeuser.com/viewtopic.php?id=50291
The question is therefore is there someway to 'unhide' it?!
Installed 8.10.02 just fine and am up and running...great distribution and very fast! Thanks for all your 'sweat and tears' on this!
When I right click on the eee-control tray icon the performance settings are 'grayed out' for me. Is there something additional I must do? Also I'm getting an error "Cannot access I2C control files". Any help with this would be appreciated:/
