THAT WAS IT!!!

Using the Nvidia proprietary driver was the fix I needed.

Still, damo, thanks for the help! I did learn about init.d!

I had searched the forums, but not for that specifically, only things regarding "dual monitor setup", etc.

I know I had it done before on another install, but I can't recall what I did. I'm going to try and see if switching over to the nvidia driver does anything for me.

Thank you, damo, for the help!

I tried adding the script in /etc/init.d/ (doing an "insserv dualMonitors.sh") and it still doesn't switch from mirrored until I log in and openbox's autostart takes over.

Hello,

So, I have things almost completely figured out, but I need help with the last bit!

I have a dual monitor xrandr script that I have run in my openbox autostart. It does exactly what I want it to do, but AFTER I log in. Until doing that my monitors are mirrored instead of extended.

I know it's trivial, but I'd like for my dual monitor settings to take effect before I log in. I've searched through the forums and could only find info referencing putting things in the openbox autostart.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you,
-Jake
