I chose this way:
'You can alternatively use ndisgtk to install drivers to the system.' Installed ndisgtk, run it, pointed to the driver location, the tool ran and wifi networks were available.
I chose the network, entered the password and acer extensa 2300 got connected. This post is completed adn posted while using wlan, thanks to all who contributed.

17:25 I started to follow the instructions.
17:30 installing
...
Building initial module for 3.2.0-4-486
Done.
ndiswrapper:
Running module version sanity check.
- Original module
- No original module exists within this kernel
- Installation
- Installing to /lib/modules/3.2.0-4-486/updates/dkms/
depmod.........
DKMS: install completed.
ndiswrapper-utils-1.9 (1.57-1) wird eingerichtet ...
tian@acer:~$ echo ndiswrapper >> /etc/modules
bash: /etc/modules: Keine Berechtigung
This far up to now. Now I need to find out how to connect ndiswrapper with the driver:
tian@acer:~$ ndiswrapper -i DRIVER/neti2220.inf
couldn't open DRIVER/neti2220.inf: Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden at /usr/sbin/ndiswrapper-1.9 line 219.
I will try to find out myself, but if someone can give me a hint, that would make me happy, too.

At vinzv,
thanks for the quick search. I tried NDISwrapper on this acer with another linux distro, but couldn't get it to work. I am hoping for another solution, but if no other suggestion is coming, then I will try your links tomorrow.
