Day 3: He still retains hope that someone will find it in their heart to help him out. Hopefully someone who has some idea of how to solve the problem.
Hi all,
I've been trying to install #! for a couple of days now to no avail. First I had a problem with getting the computer to boot the .iso and now I have it installed to the hard drive and can boot to it however I have a huge graphics problem. I am getting variously colored text which looks out of alignment. I am also unable to launch a gui by using commands such as "startx" which have supposedly worked in the past. I have seen this problem a bunch throughout my google searches and can't seem to find a solution that works well for me (hence why I'm finally posting here I guess).
I have heard that one of the solutions to this problem is to get the wifi working and update/upgrade the system however I'm really struggling with setting up the wifi (on the newer side when it comes to the terminal). I would love any help that anyone is willing to give because at this point it's starting to hurt my head and I've been super impressed with #! while I've been running it in a virtual machine and really look forward to it being my main OS. Please don't relay me to another post on these forums either because believe me, I've already read and attempted that solution. Thanks in advance,
~Blue
