after countless of error from trying to register, it final works 

anyway, when i google xkbset stop working periodically, this post appear as the first link, and after more searching, i found out why it happen, so i am replying (even though this post is old) so that any future user on any linux (i am using fedora ) is using this and wondering why it stop working periodically (and found this post like i have) would know what to do to fix it

it seem that the xkbset has some kind of timeout, so after sometime, it would stop by itself, so to stop it from stopping, we disable (turn off) the timeout by doing the code below after doing xkbset m

xkbset exp =m
