CrunchBang Linux

Just saying hi,  Recently put #! Waldorf on a laptop I was running Debian Squeeze on.  Couldn't be happier!  Reminds me of my first foray into Linux, back in 2001ish running Fluxbox on Slackware.  I believe I gave up because I could never get my sound working.  That was a long time ago and I've gotten a bit better with it since (that or the hardware support in general has improved!) 

Anyway, thought I'd introduce myself.  I am now trying to get Waldorf installed on an old Macbook pro I've been running Ubuntu 12.10 on.  Ubuntu works great but it's pretty bloated on the 2008 era hardware.  Everything works fine with #! live but the problem is my LCD is totally broken, and I can't get display to go to my external monitor during install.  I'll be messing with it and hope to get things up and running soon.
