Success! It works with VB 3.0.2. Thanks guys.
You can run 64 bit CrunchBang on your laptop; I am doing this with VirtualBox on my MacBook Pro. In your vm, you must fix your settings. Go to the general setting, and under "version", change whatever you have there to Ubuntu (64 bit). Also, under the "System" setting, you might want to make the processor 2 CPUs.
I was able to set the version to Ubuntu 64-Bit, but I can't find an option called "System" where I can set my processor to 2 CPUs. I am running VirtualBox 2.1.4_OSE if that helps.
Thanks.
Hey everyone! I'm a first time Crunchbang/Openbox user trying it out in a virtualbox, but I have a problem. I downloaded the 64 bit version of crunchbang 9.04.1 for my 64-bit cpu, but when it tries to load in virtualbox, I get the following error:
This kernel requires an x86-64 cpu, but only detected an i686 cpu. Unable to boot - please use a kernel appropriate for your cpu.
I am positive I have a 64-bit cpu (Intel E6700). I am Crunchbang 9.04.1 is the Guest OS, while Kubuntu 9.04 is the Host OS.
Any ideas? Thanks.
