#1 Re: Tips, Tricks & Scripts » Use "Fn" key for key bindings in rc.xml » 2013-03-25 02:17:08

I hate to bump a dead thread, but I've got a related question.  I also have a thinkpad laptop and have some problems with the fn keys.  I'd like to remap the fn-f5 combination to disable the bluetooth instead of the wifi.  Unfortunately it doesn't seem like I can unbind toggling wifi either through xmodmap.  Does anyone have a suggestion?

I got it all fixed.  I opted for a reinstall as I didn't have too much setup.  The module is included from the liveCD install.  I think I borked it when I tried to get my tv-card installed and messed with some modules unintentionally.  Funnily enough, I'm just a moron and my tv-card was working the whole time.  Who ever figured that #! "Just Works"?

Well that's great news!  Would you mind helping me do that though?  I've never really messed around with the kernel and modules before.

Hey, thanks.

uname -a returns

Linux crunchbang 3.2.0-4-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 3.2.35-2 x86_64 GNU/Linux

and find /lib/modules returns

/lib/modules/3.2.0-4-amd64/kernel/drivers/media/video/uvc

Hi!  I just started using #! about a week ago and I'm loving it so far, I just have one problem I haven't been able to resolve.  I got my tv tuner card working fine after some fiddling, but since I've got it all figured out my webcam video no longer works.  I can get audio from it, but no video.  After asking around on the IRC a bit and doing some trouble shooting well_laid_lawn and I were able to deduce that the ucvcvideo module is not installed.  It's very strange, but I don't know how it happened.  Does anyone have some advice for fixing this?  Thanks a bunch!
