Why hello thar, exploder! Amusing how many of us Minties have a #! dark side
Hi fellas!!! Oh I've been around these parts before, played with #! a few times on my netbook and laptop. It's a lovely way to swim a little further into the deep end of the pool
I have a 5 year old Dell Latitude laptop with 512 MB RAM, 1 core and 40 GB hard drive. I installed Statler XFCE onto it and I must say, I am impressed. This is an alpha? It's running flawlessly. It feels very stable and snappy, making this older, low-resource machine feel as quick as my high-resource desktop machine. Very pleased so far.
I was hoping to try Statler Openbox on my AAO netbook but alas, still have the same problem with the Debian installer: It aborts the installation because it can't find an optical drive. Most netbooks don't have optical drives, so no Statler Crunchbook for me
Very simple desktop for a very small screen (Acer Aspire One A110L)

The name "Crunchbang" just sounds to me like a car accident, so...........

Wallpaper is here, it's widescreen only, 1400 x 900, because I suck. I also suck at having my camera on me at moments like that.

Hi there, Corenominal! Thanks for your hard work
I see a number of familiar faces here -- if Zwopper and Omns have a second home here, it must be a good distribution
Excellent!
Hello, new Crunchbang newbie
I just installed #! 8.10 Light onto my Acer Aspire One A110L, added the Kuki kernal and suggested customisations aaaaaand we'll see how it goes ^__^ I'm enjoying the experience so far. I've been with Linux for a year now, running Linux Mint on my desktop and have played with a few 'out of box' distros on my AAO. This is the first time I've done such "heavy" customisations on a distro, but my search for the ideal Linux for my AAO makes for a lovely learning experience. The #! Light version meets pretty much all of my needs with my bitty netbook, so I'm very happy with the array of packaged software, only needed to add a few things from the repositories, and my time-waster games ^__^
Thanks much for the hard work
