PROBLEM:
upon install, the cb-welcome script stalled on the line regarding flashplugin-nonfree.

SCENARIO:
i installed a fresh testing 64-bit #! on a common core2duo dell laptop, and proceeded with the #! welcome script. it stalled (see above). i didn't know how to break out of that to skip it, or how to break out of it at all. there were no options, it just stalled at that point. i waited about 10 minutes, which is way way longer than it should take considering my hardware and connection speeds are decent. my internet connection continued to work while i browsed the web, looking for a fix. i ended up unplugging the system without it resolved. i restarted, tried to install something, and apt-get was fubar after that and needed fixing. apt-get got fixed easily, and i didn't try the cb-welcome script again. i wiped that HD as i have no interest in messing around with a fubar install.

WEIGHT:
this is a different issue than simply having a problem with the flashplugin-nonfree package specifically, because it means the whole cb-welcome script does not work. this bug is a big deal, because i imagine it could affect all users.

RELATED?:
i heard something from the grapevine about flash or java losing support and what not, and so my uneducated guess is that this may have something to do with that.

HISTORY:
i think i installed this exact same iso on the exact same machine last week and it worked fine.

i've used #! for about 1 1/2 years, and i've usually had to manually remove and manually install java and flash to get the latest version working, so to me this is an ongoing issue.
