I don't know if I should start a new topic (since this one it's pretty old)...
Here is the solution I found to stop the F10 keybind work in terminal windows:
In ~/.gtkrk-2.0.mine I added
binding "NoKeyboardNavigation" {
unbind "<shift>F10"
unbind "F10"
}
class "*" binding "NoKeyboardNavigation"Now I can exit mc without the annoying menu

I have #! 64bit and the Brother drivers installs the libs in /usr/lib64 and /usr/lib64/sane. I had to symlink those to /usr/lib and /usr/lib/sane to get the scanner work.

I started try Linux about ten years ago and trying a few (more) distros on the road. I am still looking for a distro with minimum bloatware and also good looking.
It seems I've found it
