Look for a file called 'readme', or something similar, if there is one, it will explain things.
Normally, you will run './configure' in the programs directory before running 'make'.
bash: ./configure: No such file or directory
I'm trying to compile ndiswrapper-1.58rc1 but when i do "sudo make" i get this error
Please help me
I'm trying wpa_supplicant but when I run the command "sudo wpa_supplicant-B-i wlan0-c / etc / wpa_supplicant / wpa_supplicant.conf" then there is notification "Failed to read or parse configuration '/ etc / wpa_supplicant / wpa_supplicant.conf'" Anyone please help me
It should automatically be updates when you run `sudo apt-get dist-upgrade`.
if so I've updated the firmware-realtek because when I perform the command is written "0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded." and I have another question that comes out of the topic, why every time I do the command "sudo apt-get update" program synaptic always come out automatically when I do not call it.
hi,
it might be an issue with network manager applet...try connecting via wpa-supplicant, as explained here by el_koraco...
see how it goes and report back..in case you have troubles with the set-up, post back for more help...
I appreciate your answers, but I think I'll try to install ndiswrapper first
It may also be the free driver in firmware-realtek. Unfortunately, the only driver Realtek offers for the 8187SE is for Windows, so if you want to try it, you'll have to use ndiswrapper.
Have you tried updating firmware-realtek? Considering the age of that chip (latest Windows driver was released in October 2010), I doubt this would help, but it's worth a shot.
It's also possible that the router is at fault...
I've installed ndiswrapper, but how for updating firmware-realtek?
I have a problem with the wireless connection, I use a realtek 8187se every few minutes my connection is always disconnected. Please help me.
I agree, that something else is faster (Synaptic) and more efficient to install software, I for one use only apt, especially on a "minimal" distro like Crunchbang.
True is also that you should look a little bit around to get to know Debian/Crunchbang but people, why nobody answered OPs question is beyond me.
Yes, you can install the software center in #!, it is the unbranded Ubuntu Software Center:
sudo apt-get install software-centerIt does the same even though maybe not exactly all the features are in that you know from Ubuntu.
For the people here that behave like in the Debian forum:
http://packages.debian.org/en/wheezy/software-center
Edit: Put a German link.
thank you, finally I can install the software easily
Try upgrading your kernel to the latest version available in backports.
how do I do it?
I've installed ndiswrapper and after that I tried to connect to the internet with wifi network but after a few minutes I could not connect to the wifi network and strangely still detect wifi network indicator. I can still use the internet if I disconnect from the menu and click connect again. Any help would be appreciated

Can I ask what you expect the benefit of the software center to be over synaptic?
Or maybe you don't know that you have synaptic available to you? (menu/System/Synaptic Package Manager)
yes i know, but i just want to install it on crunchbang because I think ubuntu software center gives a more complete description of the software
Crunchbang is based on Debian, not Ubuntu, and the Ubuntu Software Center can not be installed, at least not easily or, probably, not usefully.
Still, welcome to Crunchbang! With a little time I'm sure you'll be able to get along fine without Ubuntu packages.
I just know that it's crunchbang debian based, I think the base of ubuntu
edit:
I just read this thread and I found many posts that explain the "Ubuntu based". Actually ubuntu or debian based on crunchbang? And what's the difference with the base repository debian with ubuntu, not debian package can also be installed in ubuntu?
Welcome aboard doomtree.
There are 2 main ways to install packages on Debian (based) distros, synaptic & apt-get; there is also dpkg for the more experienced. You might find this thread of interest :-

thanks for the link, I think I should learn more about the debian distro
well there is something similar. Bear in mind this is nearly a year old. Unsure if it still works
thanks for the link and thanks all for help
I've tried to search in google on this topic, but I did not find the right topic. Please explain to me how to install it easily because I am a new user crunchbang. Thanks
