Hi everyone,
I'm running Waldorf with testing repositories and XFCE 4.10. Something happened to my install where no icons are showing on the desktop and the wallpaper is no longer justified but is off kilter to the right. I can't right click on the desktop either.
I've gone over all of the settings in the XFCE Settings Manager and tried some fixes from the Arch wiki. I just can't diagnose this issue. My wife's desktop is acting normally. Any ideas??

But as we know, all mice are different. I'd rather press a key to paste. Anyone have any ideas?
Hi,
I'm currently doing a lot of inserting of text into a wiki. I keep pasting using CTRL+V like usual, but it would be so much better to paste using a single key like F11 or Scroll Lock. When pasting 100 times, it does make a difference.
I'm using Crunchbang with the XFCE desktop and I was hoping someone can point me towards a way of doing this.

I tried running as root. No luck. It still says "Firefox 13.0 - Firefox is up-to-date"
Hi,
I am running Waldorf. When I installed the OS I used the pipemenu to install the regular version of Firefox (not Iceweasel). The problem is that I am unable to figure out how to upgrade my version of Firefox to the latest version, 17. Right now it is at 13. There is no way to update the program through Firefox itself and Synaptic does not offer the upgrade either. I know that it is a special package inserted by corenominal, but is there a way to update this?

arclance, your solution worked! My wife is going to be surprised to be seeing Statler every hour!
arclance's solution works except for one problem: The popup says "Statler Says" but there is no adage.
My wife really enjoys seeing Statler (cb-fortune) and I want to surprise her and have Statler say an adage each hour. A little strange, but it is a fun little task.
I'm having a problem with getting the cb-fortune script to run once an hour using crontab. My experience with crontab is limited so I'm hoping someone will be able to help me get the right script set up. So far I've tried:
50 * * * * /usr/bin/cb-fortune50 * * * * root /usr/bin/cb-fortuneI even tried (once a minute)
* * * * * root /usr/bin/cb-fortuneIt just doesn't want to display. When I run "cb-fortune" in a terminal, Statler shows up.
??
