CrunchBang Linux

I'm just in the process of installing #! Statler on my old Macbook 2,1.  That's right, any older and it would have a PPC chip. After years of Tiger losing support from everyone, a combination of misbehaving drivers, and ancient flash and java rendering the internet nearly unusable, I put OpenSuSe on the thing. I've decided I don't like OpenSuSe and the Macbook was still running much too hot anyway, crashing alll the time, and generally misbehaving and mystifying me as to how to fix my problems.

It has a number of old computer quirks and can be very frustrating, but I can't afford a new computer, so I must make it work. Need a computer to stop being an underemployed Microbiologist and maybe get a job using my overpriced degree.

Other Linux Experience/Prostelytizing: I've had my mother running Linux Mint for two years now without realizing it was that big scary Linux thing.
