Thanks for replying.
Heres what I did:
1) ls -l /dev/disk/by-id/*usb* # Found USB drive
2) md5sum crunchbang-11-20120430-amd64.iso # looks good no issue
3) sudo dd if=crunchbang-11-20120430-amd64.iso of=/dev/sdf bs=4M;sync # no issues here
4) boot from USB and start installation
Overall: Still hangs at Detecting Network Hardware.
~~~~~~~~
Wardolf still hangs. The GUI simply shows nothing but "Detect Network Hardware" and everything is blank below that.
lspci -nn | grep VGA
crunchbang@crunchbang:~$ lspci -nn | grep VGA
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation 82915G/GV/910GL Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:2582] (rev 04)
=====End of Output====
cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log
Output: Very long so I put it on the pastebin
Edit: This information was taken from a Live CD (or Live USB in my case)
Sorry, probably lacking some information, but I cannot install the OS at all. It hangs on "Detecting Network Hardware" due to the 2 missing modules; I will go into Live CD and update the thread while I'm there.
Hello,
Everytime I try to install I get an odd error.
-- From memory its almost like this
Cannot load "intel" (Module doesn't exist, 0)
Cannot load "vesa" (Module doesn't exist, 0)
Is it possibly to get these modules somewhere?
A (helpful?) note: Live CD runs perfect without any issues what so ever.
