wget really is great, but what about the basic users? They aren't accustomed to use wget

Many users have been searching for the portable version of Internet Download Manager. This is the portable version of IDM. You can download and just use it.
1 Download Portable Version of IDM. Click here
2 After downloading, install wine in backtrack. goto > Terminat > su > apt-get install wine.
3 Now, double click on the downloaded IDM.
4 Enjoy IDM.
