Hey finjay, thanks for the input.
Not sure I'll try that in my case though, as given I've got a 701 it would really be an upgrade (and prolly break it).
Hi,
I'm having very similar issues to greenmanspirit. I created a Cruncheee boot USB stick and it boots fine on the Dell laptop I created it with (no networking but I think that's a config issue).
However whenever I try following the instructions to boot as a "live CD" off the USB stick on my 701 8G eeepc it fails. It starts fine, gets the splash screen, the loading bar goes up and down a bit then starts a progressive going up. However once it gets to about 90% full the screen goes all scrambled and it appears to freeze.
Another interesting thing (whether related or just a boot from USB issue on the eeepc) is that once I force a shutdown of the eeepc after this fail, the first boot back up into xandros just produces a blank screen - not sure if it's successfully booting up or not.
I really like the look of crunchy and think it sounds like it should work on my eeepc more completely out-of-the-box than something like eeexubuntu, but this has me stumped.
Oh, and I've also tried a fresh format on the USB stick, to no avail.
