Hey I'm an Irish refugee from the Ubuntu/Mint world who decide to go up-stream to Squeeze.
I have several reasons for moving to #! firstly I need to find a perminent home, while the life of a distro-hopper is fast, fun, exciting and gets you all the girls it doesn't provide the stability I need. I just need something that works until I'm finished college (~14months). I think I've found it with Squeeze. So far I'm very impressed with the #! community (had one or two issues [wl driver, graphics card, etc] which I needed to get sorted), however my main reason for choosing #! was the fact that I could get xfce and debian-stable together. I am very sad to find that support has been dropped, Personally I'm still going to use it, along with gnome and kde backends. Don't get me wrong the decision to make #! the best openbox distro is a very good decision, but it would be nice if someone in the community forked the old xfce project (#!x).
Anyway I just wanted to say hi,
I'm sure I'll be spending manys the night lurking on your forum.
Good night,
Edward
