Is there a way to get it to install?
I'm running Stadler, which is Debian stable
Thank you
Thanks for the advice.
As long as I can copy images into the wallpaper folder, then they show up on the list. That's fine with me.
problem solved.
Got it. Thanks.
but I wonder why the right-click set as wallpaper function doesn't work. Do you think its a bug in the system?
vinoman wrote:I've done this before but for some reason I can't select an image from the image folder to change the wallpaper. How do you change the wallpaper?
R-click the image in the folder - there should be a menu option "Set as wallpaper" (There is in Waldorf anyway
)
I go to it and open image file, but it doesn't populate the wallpaper window in Nitrogen. I sometimes works and sometimes it doesn't. Can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. As much as I like Crunchbang, adding a wallpaper is very frustrating. the preference button doesn't apply the file that you want to select the image from. Is Nitrogen buggy?

I did that (stadler) but nothing changes.
I've done this before but for some reason I can't select an image from the image folder to change the wallpaper. How do you change the wallpaper?
What file do I edit to change the color of the text and numbers in the date on the taskbar?
Thanks

## Enable Eyecandy - off by default, uncomment one of the commands below. ## Note: cairo-compmgr prefers a sleep delay, else it tends to produce ## odd shadows/quirks around tint2 & Conky. #(sleep 10s && cb-compmgr --cairo-compmgr) & #cb-compmgr --xcompmgr &got it. thanks.
and remove the '#' from the beginning of one of the two last lines.
I've turned on the compositing to see how it works and it adds a little depth to the windows, but when I reboot it goes away. How do you keep it on?
running #! 10-02072012
please delete thread.
is there a way to delete the thread myself?
thank you
^ no problem! now if you'll please mark your thread 'Solved' by editing the first post, we can keep things tidy
I'm back using #! again and I can't remember what the name of the fonts on the desktop are called to change the color. what do they call the text of the system info and shorcuts?
hi vinoman, welcome to the community. with 'panel', do you mean tint2? so the 'taskbar'? because then you can just go to the Right-click menu > Settings > Tint2 > Edit config file
read up on the syntax online and find out how to change your text color.
Yes, I found the hex code and changed to black. Now I can see the time.
Thank you
How do you change the text color on the panel? I've changed the conky color to black for a lighter background but the time/date text in the upper right hand corner is still gray and you can't see it. Is there a way to change that to black of other dark shade?
running #! 20111125 64bit. it runs GREAT!
