CrunchBang Linux

I just installed #! today and I'm having an issue with dual monitor support as well as getting the resolution correct. I have tried grandr but it only seems to support up to 1280x1024. At the moment both monitors are recognized but they mirror each other, is there a way for me to join the two monitors together without the mirror?
