CrunchBang Linux

Hi everyone!

I must first say I'm really enjoying this forum and its community. Thank you very much for existing and being here for this wonderful project that is CrunchBang!

Here's my story: I've been a Linux user since 1999 when I first got in touch with Linux when I was a 12th grade student. At college, I used Linux almost every day and felt somewhat misunderstood from the rest of my colleagues as they all used proprietary operating systems (I'm not going to talk about these, you all must know this, right? ) and most of them don't recognize the true power of FOSS still today. But I kept using Linux and improving my knowledge and have come to test a lot of distributions: Debian, Fedora, Suse, and lately Ubuntu and Linux Mint.

A few days ago, a friend of mine shared an article on Crunch Bang. I didn't know what it was but after reading the article I decided I had to try it I first installed it on a virtual machine under virtualbox, and I loved it. Its simplicity, speed and being Debian-based were the key factors to adopt it. And reading this forum gave me the extra push to register and to share this first post with you.

I'm a software engineer living in Oporto (Portugal) and am loving using CrunchBang every day. I have installed it on my work laptop and plan to also install it on my home desktop and netbook (Asus EeePC 1215) later this weekend. Maybe I'll write a post on how to install CrunchBang on my netbook through a USB pen, if you think it's interesting

Once again, thank you very much for this forum and I hope I just can share some posts on my customizations/solutions and to help as much people as I can using and sharing this wonderful Linux system.
