Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone!

Will definitely give both geany and Eclipse a try!

Stoked to get some conky+tint2 tweaking started, fingers crossed that things don't get messed up too much! XD

Hi all,

This little Canuck is fairly new to Linux, installed and clicked around on Ubuntu and Fedora and that's about it.

Installed #! not too long ago, but messed up a little. Trying to fix that now tongue since I really need my netbook soon.

I usually run on a MBP and a netbook for my schooling needs, however a lot of coop placements in my program require some sort of familiarity with php/python/ruby.

Can anyone recommend a nice, simple and clean IDE to try?

Great community, and definitely appreciate all the work that is #!

See everyone in the forums! smile

I made a really stupid mistake while installing #! on my netbook.

I was in a rush while partitioning the drives and didn't read through the last screen that confirmed what drives the grub would recognize. I thought I saw the grub recognize my windows partition as it had listed the 7 and vista loader, but apparently not. My bad!

Now my windows drives are locked and partitioned under a dev/sdaxx directory.

There is also a recovery partition.

Are there any ways I can restore a proper directory/ get grub to recognize my windows/recovery partition?

I'm trying to explore this option as I currently don't have a copy of 32-bit windows lying around to do a fresh install and no recovery disc D:

Thanks in advance!
