I'm running CrunchBang off a pen drive and I can't mount my native HDD. I was able to do it in the previous version (9.04) but I can't find it in this version. Can someone show me where it is?
So much hate for Plymouth. I like to use the quiet splash because I don't like how the text goes from bottom-up rather than top-down. Lesser of the two evils.
@callmenuge - Look into Plymouth and making themes for Plymouth.
Sometime in the future, I will. For now, I'll just edit the boot options and leave it at that until I have more time.
Overall, I like CrunchBang 10 more than 9.04. The switch from Ubuntu to Debian doesn't bother me. As long as I can run the mainstream applications that I need, I'm content. I may not be used to Debian as much as Ubuntu but they're similar enough so that I won't be totally lost.
CrunchBang 10 did away with the awful boot selection screen. I'm happy to see that changed but I like the loading screen of CrunchBang 9.04. The loading bar from the previous version has a nice refined touch. Is there a way to configure grub or whatever the boot manager is on this distro so that it retains the 9.04 loading screen?
