activate nm-applet menu with keybinding rather than mouse?

I am running xfce statler 2 and am trying to make a more extended use of keyboard commands rather that of my mouse.
Any ideas how I might activate nm-applet menu with a keybinding rather that pointing my mouse at the applet located in my tint2 panel?
I was recently  on my tower pc running cb 9.04 but couldn't get online with my usb dongle as I was
without a mouse. No mouse, then no nm menu, as far as I could see. A cool keybinding would get around this.

Thanks anonymouse! I like nm (wicd doesn't support dongles I believe) so I'll carry on with the mouse.
