You revived an old old thread and when a moderator asks you to open a new thread instead, you open a complaint thread in Off Topic with this non-informative title?

Please, don't take it personally, just open a new thread in one of the Help and Support (Other) forums with the title "Disable screen-blanking" or something and help us keep these forums tidy. Thanks!

I've edited changed the title to a briefer, equally uninformative title.

OK, if that was the intention.

But doesn't this sounds like a help request?...

This is very handy, would you please update it for Jessie and systemd? (No /etc/X11/xorg.conf where it used to be)

@machinebacon & co were the main technical gurus on these forums, but I think they got bored with #!. You will find most of them over at LinuxBBQ - which is the place to look at if you want to play with sid spins

Take it for granted, every post of mine is mostly a cry for help, and i am indebted to this forum for all that i've received. I revived the post to pay my respect to the old guru here on this particular issue and i assure you, this is not a "complaint" thread.

@OP Fair enough, but "Tips and Tricks" is for How To Do Stuff, and not an appropriate place for help requests. The neatest way is to open a new Help thread, and make a link to the original eg...

Post title: "How do I disable screen-blanking?"

Body: "I tried the method here but....blah...blah"
