OK, moved this since it's not really "development"
Yup, I've been moving mine for years.... but to move them you need:
own_window_type normal
to do it ... BTW: all BL conkys have that.
Also [Alt]+[right-click] lets you resize conkies too.
See the clock ...
[Alt]+right-click near the bottom and drag down .... it's calendars for nine months, this month always in the middle:

First I knew of it too. Impressed! Maybe we could do with another BunsenLabs helpfile in the menu?

btw Alt-drag isn't working for me in VirtualBox (for any windows, not just conky). It works in a "real" install though.
Does the new conky position persist after logout/in?

It seems as far as I can tell that conky will revert to its original position if it is restarted for any reason... though I'm testing this on Waldorf, might be different on BL. (Only reason I haven't installed BL as my main OS yet is that I may get a new drive soon - so might as well wait and install it on that in due course )

If NO Alt-drag windows work in VB it's a VB thing then.
No that's because of these variables:
gap_x
gap_y
alignment
minimum_size
maximum_width
However
Never say no
so no ... not as far as I know today
I remember some asking if it was possible to:
-------- text ---------
like:
${hr [width]} Text ${hr [width]}
Everyone was saying "No" - "Not possible"
I though about it and did it. bar-text-bar
My preferred method today is:
${membar 1,50} Text ${membar 1,50}
EDIT: Ninja'd by photonucleon ... but replied anyway. You are correct of course, photonucleon.

We consider BL to be quite stable already, and it should run very nicely – as always, should you uncover any bugs or find something worth improving, please report it in this or a separate thread in the Development forum.
It works very well in the live session. I found the same problem that existed in the earlier versions, that is, you shouldn't open the conkys together. Posted a screeny yesterday, but appears to be taken off. Should we feedback/report 'bugs' here? Anyway, that's a minor problem, but someone might consider it as a bug.
Btw, its a very nice website, clean, simple and informative; http://www.bunsenlabs.org/
EDIT: I found the post, but in a new thread. http://crunchbang.org/forums/viewtopic.php?id=40605 I think, if a post is moved, there should be a link in the the thread it was originally posted.

I didn't know, I started this thread, but it appears that my post gave very informative replies. (It was past midnight, so I went to sleep.)
Nice to know that pushing Alt down could move the conky anywhere on the screen.
own_window_type normal
most times creates a frame around the conky when composite shadows on. It maybe better to revert to
own_window_type desktop
after placing the conky where you want.

@S11 -- That. Is. AWESOME!
Offline
own_window_type normal
would allow the conky to be moved with Alt pushed down, but the conky would come back to the original position after a logout. These
gap_x
gap_y
alignment
wouldn't be written automatically.

Looking at the BunsenLabs website http://www.bunsenlabs.org/, I am wondering why not have the BusenLabs forum there, rather than pointing it here. BunsenLabs distro might look like the old Crunchbang, but is not Crunchbang, the creative ideas are also different. The website is much cleaner, simpler and informative. It points to BunsenLabs GitHub, BusenLabs Packages, all new stuff. The forum would grow there too. Just a thought.
*Moderator edit* Split from the RC1 release announcement as ostrolk has enough enthusiasm for his own thread - hhh

How about some patience? These ideas are already being discussed. We can't do everything at once.

Well, we are talking BunsenLabs here. If you ran BL you'd see that compton is our compositor and because our conkys have:
own_window_class Conky
shadows have been excluded: ~/.config/compton.conf
#shadow-exclude = [ "n:e:xfce4-notifyd", "i:e:Conky" ];
shadow-exclude = [ "i:e:Conky" ];
Also settiing:
own_window_type desktop
means you cannot click on the conky to get your OpenBox Menu or centre-click to get the desktop switcher.

Sorry for not setting "Notify" when splitting this out to it's own thread. My apologies. You "started" the thread because your post was the 'first' of the group that was split from the original thread.

Would you think of any other installer than the Debian instaler for the final release?

Not really, why would we? Powered by Debian and all.
