@porkpiehat -- congratulations on the 1k posts!
If "BlackArch" is anything like Arch Linux, then that is normal. However BlackArch is not Arch Linux so I can't be sure. We only support Arch Linux here.
Closing, for deletion: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Fo … pport_ONLY
Yeah, the Arch mods rock!
]:D 8o {)
EDIT: Just seen your post over at the forums and BlackArch is most certainly *not* Arch....
For a start. it has an automated install process which is probably why your test system has failed.
FWIW, BlackArch installed to a USB stick just fine for me
On the plus side, your post is now in the Dustbin:
Read-only board for spam and improper posts, reminding all users what NOT to post on the forums.

money expressions sound "vaguely obscene" to you .. lmao hahaha that is more absurd then the play on terms that I did in which you find vaguely obscene? someone needs to give you a "Rorschach" test.
Nope, your post is still nonsense (but most of your posts are, to me.)
(edit) woo hoo! 1000 posts!

To be discussed in the Mod area. I have asked twice nicely that religion/religious talk be stopped here.
What is going on is a lack of respect for all others that do not think as certain individuals.
DO NOT continue this discussion elsewhere in this forum.

After a discussion in the mod we basically ended with:
edit the first post with the message and mention there will be a few more following with removed content.
The first post referred to is the post that started the religion/religious talk.
I went with:
=== Mod Notice ===
Post edited to remove religious content that is not to be discussed here. This thread has been closed for a few days and will be opened shortly
Please have respect for others thoughts and refrain from religion/religious talk.
and put that where I edited posts.
And in fact that it left some posts remaining with nothing but that Notice ... I simply deleted them IF they referred to nothing else. I left a couple just for show.
If you wish to discuss this subject please search for a forum ... some to start you off:
Religion Forums (Protestants)
but please, do not do it here!

Well I guess my new "Coffee room" thread is now redundant...

Well considering we have a coffee thread ... Coffee is a food group ... mind you it's about coffee.
I see room for both ... threads that is as long as I can drink coffee.

Remember you are in someone else's house. As such, there are rules to follow. Don't like them: you are free to leave.
Now, no more word about this or there will be consequences.

I'm starting to really like eclipse now. I still hate to wait for the 10+ seconds it takes to launch from an ssd though... I'm also starting to like Java. :8

@ userx-bw
What is it about you that you think this forum is yours to do with as you see fit.
Even in a so called free country there are rules to restrict you from certain things.
Try driving a car 60mph past a school or
120mph on a highway in the US.
Try threatening the leader of a country.
Or robbing a bank or corner store.
We are all governed by laws and rules in one form or another.
You've just pushed past the limits to the point we are issuing a 4 day ban: 2015-07-23.
When you come back, if you start up again it will be permenant.

Eclipse is my chosen IDE, and I don't know about you, but I personally like looking at the splash screen. 8o

^^I think I'll try to change my splashscreen to something more enjoyable; maybe some cats...
There's one thing about eclipse that I just don't get it. Is the window builder supposed to help the user to make the windows, or is it there just to show how much easier it would be for the user to just study the swing api and code it from scratch?
I'm trying to build the first window for the first java application I've made...
I've spent some hours trying to click and drag to put together a simple window... the process made me want to slit my wrists to say the least.

Swing isn't exactly a fun process to say the least, Although I did work on an incomplete project, I can push it to github so you can get a basic idea of how you'd go about making a Swing app

Yes please! That would be really helpful {)
