Solved: gnucash backports - wait

I installed the backports version of gnucash on one machine, but not the other.  On the one machine with stable version, autoclean showed gnucash and gnucash-common being deleted.  On the machine with the backports I did a dist-upgrade and got the newest gnucash-common and gnucash was deleted.  I went back to previous and all is well, but one might want to wait a bit on the stable-backports of gnucash.  yes i will append solved to it tomorrow.

Perhaps this would have helped?
