Re: ADeskBar : application launcher for openbox

The most recent unofficial version (5.1) doesn't work for me...the system tray doesn't show network manager or any applications I launch that minimize there.  I installed the .deb provided in this thread when installing.

There is no pager plugin for multiple desktops either.

I might try compiling this instead to see if it works better.

Re: ADeskBar : application launcher for openbox

Anyone using Adeskbar at the moment?

I have installed it and it workes just fine, there is only one flaw, the bar is hidden after reboot.
So I have to bring it alive manually.

So far, I've tried every possible setting but without any success.

Anyone experiencing the same?

Grzzz.

Re: ADeskBar : application launcher for openbox

On a stock Waldorf install, I've been using Adeskbar with no issues with using both 'Autohide' and 'Always Visible' options over the past two months on stock Waldorf install. If it helps, here are my software specs to compare with your situation.

Config file: ~.config/adeskbar/default.cfg (minus the launchers section):

Re: ADeskBar : application launcher for openbox

Thank you for your reply. smile
I wasn't sure if it would help but gave the start-up time a delay of 10s and this seems to help.

So, I will not touch anything right now.
I'll have to wait and see if this operation persists.. neutral

Re: ADeskBar : application launcher for openbox

I'm new to crunchbang and found/installed this ADeskBar (v.5.1) and it's working fine so far. One question... I have many icons in the bar but at the moment every click on an icon opens a new instance from that program.

What I want is ADeskBar should open a instance when the program isn't already running but only show the running instance when I click the icon and 2nd, 3rd,... time (bring it to foreground). Is this possible?
