Hi, folks --
My blog, Larry the Free Software Guy, is nominated for FOSSForce.com's "Best Personal Linux or FOSS Blog Qualifying Poll," which appears to the the first round in their poll to rank which of the blogs are, well, the best. Obviously there are some other good ones, and there are also some that aren't on the first ballot, but there's an "Other" space where you can write in the blog of your choice.
You can vote for two blogs in the initial poll, and I'll explain why this is important later.
This is the part where I grovel at your feet: I would like to do well in this poll because, well, I enjoy blogging and I believe (or at least I hope) I bring some enlightening commentary to the wider FOSS world through it. So I'm seeking your vote on this.
Because you have two votes, I'm asking that you vote for Larry the Free Software Guy and the blog of your choice. Again, if your favorite blog is not listed, you can click the "Other" box and write in the name and link (both important) to vote.
Also, if you prefer the Larry the CrunchBang Guy to Larry the Free Software Guy, I'd welcome a write-in vote for that one, as if that needs saying.
Here is the link to FOSSforce.com:
Thanks in advance for your consideration. I'll just get up off the floor now.

...so do votes for LtFSG and LtCBG aggregate? ]:D
I just voted. 8o Looks like, assuming there are votes for several different blogs under "other", you are currently in third place.

I wish they would aggregate, but I'm sure they don't
Interestingly, the Larry the CrunchBang Guy blog has been getting more hits than the Free Software Guy (until the Ubuntu Edge blog, that is). So it's conceivable that the #! blog will outvote the FSG. It would be interesting to see.
Thanks for your vote.

Thanks, all.
Also, forgive me for not bringing this up earlier -- For those who may not have voted yet and you're considering a write-in candidate, you might want to consider merelyjim's Jim's2001 blog, which is a personal blog about Linux which has some pretty good stuff.
There are other bloggers in the CrunchBang universe as well, so perhaps listing some options would be a good thing, too.
merelyjim's blog is here: http://jims2011.blogspot.com

Yep, tlinsley -- also, it looks like Martin is running away with it (and rightfully so -- it's a good blog). I'd be interested to see what the write-ins are like once the first round is over on Aug. 12 (and if you haven't voted yet, you have until the 12th).

Hmmm. I see that "Other" is currently rocking third place. Since your "Crunchbang Guy" blog is a write in, could you possibly be carrying a stealth first place? I hope so! O:)

Both of Larry's blogs made round 2! Time to get the vote out! Second Round of Our Best Personal Linux or FOSS Blog Competition
On a related note...Will Larry be bribing us with donuts again?

Did someone say donuts? I just happen to have some right here.
Also, merelyjim's blog Jim's 2011 made the second round as well. I would strongly urge those who are voting to use one of your two votes -- yep, you can vote for two blogs in this round -- for merelyjim's blog, which is a good one.
I wrote about it here in the Larry the CrunchBang Guy blog (worthy of a vote moreso than that Larry the Free Software Guy clown): http://wp.me/22Lyn
[Of course, the proper thing to do would be to read all the blogs and choose the two best, and here . . . you can do that while eating this donut . . . .]
